Develop: Manufacturing

YourDesignFactory.com knows that producing a successful product takes a signifcant amount of communication, the right contacts and manufacturing know-how.  That is why we have created an innovative approach to inventing we call: Design, Defend, Develop & Distribute.

The Develop stage includes four services described below.  These services get your product manufactured and shipped. It is important to follow a structured process to ensure your product is brought to market at the best price and highest quality possible. Our team will use our proven world-wide manufacturing knowledge to help you successfully manufacture and produce your product.  Below you will find the descriptions and proper sequence of the manufacturing services we offer. You are now one step closer to bringing your product to reality!

Identify a Factory
Finding a factory on your own is a difficult task at best. Traveling worldwide, language barriers, lack of experience and baseless promises are dangerous and costly barriers that can stop inventors in their tracks! Let the experts at YourDesignFactory.com help you to secure a factory that is suitable to produce your specific product. Our team will vet a factory using it’s quality process system and guarantee a factory that is capable of tooling up and producing your unique product.

Tooling & Working Sample
Once you know where your product will be built, the next step is tooling, creating the machinery needed to build your product and producing a working sample of your product. The tooling is building the molds that will help mass produce your new product. These tools are owned by you. Tooling can be pretty expensive, but we will do our best to negotiate a price that is both fair and effective for you and the selected factory.

As soon as the tooling is complete, you are ready for a trial run to produce working samples. Sometimes, the samples are made by hand and other times it requires using your tooling and molds. Either way, you want to have a working sample to show prospective clients and show off to your friends! It is typical for a factory to produce a few samples for potentially no costs. We will help negotiate samples to be included with your tooling costs. However, all situations are unique and subject to negotiation at this level.

Estimating the 1st Production Run
In order to properly estimate your 1st Production Run, there are several pieces of information we need to collect:
- How many units are in the 1st run
- Packaging Design
- Shipping and Delivery details
Once you have made these decisions/choices, we can provide you with a firm cost estimate and expected delivery date for your 1st Production Run.

1st Production Run
This is the final step in the Develop stage. While you are waiting for your 1st Production Run to be completed and delivered, we will be working with you to figure out your Distribution Strategy.
