The Defend stage includes two services described below:
Patentability Search
The first step to developing an invention for commercial use should be a patentability search to find out if your invention is patentable. Using your completed CAD drawing, our attorneys will conduct a thorough patentability search. This service is performed by an actual attorney who will provide a legal opinion of patentability for your new invention or idea.
It is important to determine patentability of your product or idea before moving forward with manufacturing. If there are no other existing patents similar to your idea, then you are able to move forward with a high degree of confidence. In the event that the search uncovers similar patents, we will work with you to re-evaluate your product idea.
